Project management and delivery

These factsheets have been a collaborative effort by the trustees of Tāne’s Tree Trust in collaboration with Robin Sallis who undertook the design and online access. The project lead was Dr David Bergin with assistance of Michael Bergin, including supply of illustrations and photographs. Dr Jacqui Aimers provided technical review of the factsheets, additional photographs, and technical input into several factsheets.

Acknowledgements

These factsheets have been compiled by Tāne’s Tree Trust with funding from Te Uru Rākau’s One Billion Tree Partnership Fund with support from The Tindall Foundation and Trees That Count.

Project partners include landowners and managers, native plant nurseries, iwi and Maori Trusts, local authorities, and community groups involved in establishing and managing native forests. Specific collaborators included Te Kohaka o Tuhaitara Trust, North Canterbury; Ian and Trisha Brennan, Cassie’s Farm, Waikato; Mahurangi Community Action Group, Warkworth, North Auckland; and Pamu Farms (Landcorp), stations from Northland to Southland.

Others providing information and peer review include Scion, Auckland University of Technology, Northland Totara Working Group, iwi, landowners and selected local authorities and government departments. Mark Smale, Research Associate, Landcare Research, peer reviewed and edited the factsheets.

Robin Sallis has been instrumental in this project in the design and format of all the factsheets and for creating the website that hosts them.
